The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) is calling for applications for the 2018-2019 MSc Hydrographic Surveying Programme held at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), USA. The programme is the sixth one funded by the Republic of Korea (ROK) and is recognized as Category “A” by the FIG/IHO/ICA.  

The funds the ROK provided to the IHO Capacity Building Programme will be made available for up to three students to attend the programme. Funding support will cover almost all student expenses including course fees, travel to and from the respective countries, accommodation, and a living allowance. 

IHO Member States are invited to consider nominating one suitable candidate who will benefit from this training and will thereby assist the nominating country in developing its hydrographic capabilities. 

Applications should be submitted no later than 13 February 2018. A Selection Panel, comprising of representatives from the IHO Secretariat and KHOA, in liaison with the USM Programme Coordinator, will select students and reserves and the selection will be informed by 5 March 2018.
